Aileen Flynn, Chartered Physiotherapist Clinical Specialist is hosting a Triathlon Injury Prevention Workshop in the Physiotherapy Department, Beacon Hospital, Sandyford on Monday 17th Feb at 19.15-20.30.

More importantly Aileen is a member of Piranha and was ranked 8th female in Triathlon Ireland’s National Series!

The night will include the following topics:

  • Useful strength and conditioning exercises
  • Foam rolling
  • Proper stretching techniques
  • Discuss the management of some common sports injuries

 

It will take the form of a practical workshop in how best to avoid injury in triathlon and what the most recommended management advice is should you pick up an injury.

Location: Physiotherapy Department, 2nd floor of the Beacon Hospital

Bikes can be racked in the underground car park. Parking is available in the Beacon Hospital underground car park.  Attendees can drive to the barrier, press the “security” button and tell them that they are attending the physio talk and the barrier will be raised.

As there is a practical element, wear loose fitting clothes if possible!
