TI: One-day Licenses

Dear Race Organisers,
 
As the race season is about to kick off shortly, we are now setting all races up on our online one day licence system.  This means that for all races in 2011, your competitors who require a one day licence, must purchase their one day licence directly from Triathlon Ireland only. 
 
For all aquathlons and duathlons, while you must use this system, we will allow you to take a small number of one day licences on the day should you need to.  For all triathlons, no one day licences can be purchased on the day, they must be purchased through the Triathlon Ireland website.
 

For races being held in January, February and March:
Your race is now set up on our system for your competitors to purchase one day licences.  We would ask that you please include a paragraph on your race website, explaining where to purchase ODLs from, where it is clear for all competitors to see.  As a suggestion, we have included wording below as a guideline.
 
 
For all races being held in April onwards:
We will be using a new online one day licence system for your race.  This will be set up towards the end of March.  We would ask that for the time being, you place a notice on your website to competitors that all one day licences must be purchased directly through the Triathlon Ireland website and this will be available from April onwards.
 
 
Suggested wording for website for races being held January to March:
"Important notice to all competitors: If you are not a Full, Student or Junior Triathlon Ireland member, you are required to purchase a one day licence (€10/£10 for duathlon & aquathlon, €15/£15 for triathlon).  To purchase a one day licence:-
 
1.  Go to www.triathlonireland.com
2.  Select ‘one day licences’
 
The deadlines to purchase one day licences are:-
 
*  For races being held on a Sat, Sun or bank holiday:  midnight the Thu before race
*  For races being held on a weekday:  midnight the day before the race
 
Note:  It will not be possible to purchase one day licences after the above times or on the race day."
 
 
For all Races:
We will email each race organiser a list of ODLs purchased through Triathlon Ireland, immediately after the option to purchase ODLs for your race closes.  This list will show the names of all the competitors who have purchased an ODL and next to each name there will be an ODL number.  So at registration, competitors will either show either:-
 
A Full/Student/Junior TI membership card
 
or
 
A confirmation slip showing their ODL number or to be listed on the list we send you
 
 
If a competitor does not have either of the above, they are not covered under Triathlon Ireland insurance to participate in your race.
