Congratulations piranhas!

I was going to post on the forum but I think it deserves a full on story! Well done to all those who competed in the Mallorca Half ironman at the weekend in what looked like very hot conditions. 

Not only did our one and only Aileen Flynn come 8th overall and 1st in her Age group, but we had another member, Jennifer Duffy who came in 10th in her first race as a profesional!! Incredible stuff girls. 

Uber swimmer Linda Clarke showed them all how to open water swim, coming in 19th out of the water beating a number of Pro’s!

Not forgetting all the the rest of the 20 or so age groupers. For some  it was their first triathlon (you know who you are Emer Tighe and Jenny Swan!) for others it was a matter of hoping their injuries would hold up. I was very hapy to hear that everyone completed the course and no injuries were sustained. 

Apologies if I’ve left anyone out, its hard to keep up with everything going on in such a rapidly expanding club! 

I heard the afterparty was as good as it always is when piranhas are involved! Well done everyone, I’ll be looking forward to reading the race reports (marketing@piranhatri.com)
