Hopefully see some Piranha’s at 7 for this run. I’ll be at the entrance to SMP referred to above just before 7. I’ll aim to set off at 7 or shortly after.
29th October 2014 at 2:50 pm in reply to: Saturday run session with Maria (Thursday postponed) #2855WilloParticipantIf anyone wants to head for a long / aerobic run from Sean Moore Park (SMP) tomorrow night please let me know. I’ve a 90 minute run to do at 5 min per km. I will have some of it done already but will loop back to SMP at 7:00. The route would either be directly along the coast towards Blackrock.
Crusaders start a session at the entrance to SMP around 6:30 so would suggest meeting at the entrance to the park closest the strand (by the white railing / steps).

**Update**
I will be at the entrance to the park just before 7pm for a 7pm kickoff. I plan to do a 30 minute run out towards Blackrock, turn around and do 30 minute run back to SMP.
WilloParticipantCongrats everyone. It was brilliant to have so many Piranha’s out doing it. See ye all at training this evening 😉
WilloParticipantI might sign up John. I’m planning on signing up for IM Frankfurt on July 8th through Nirvana. I’ll see how the motivation is after i do that before I commit to entering Barca which I will most likely have to do through Nirvana too.
I know Niall McD has signed up for this race already too. Think he is going for sub 9 since Moody went sub 10!WilloParticipantDone. If you want me to come in and do a talk on the benefits of beetroot please let me know ❗
p.s. I miss you
WilloParticipantI’ll eat my buoyancy shorts if Richard doesn’t go under 2:45.
I’ll be out supporting too.

Hey Will,
Was looking up that race last night – they describe it as a trail run with scenic views, so I wasn’t sure how PB-friendly it would be? Just might do it though as it sounds like there’s a strong field competing.
There aren’t many options this weekend near Dublin, but Erin did post up about this race on Sunday:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2671Only disadvantage is that it’s the morning after the AGM. :-

Ye it wouldn’t be a PB course. Its a bit undulating and a few bends in it but its a nice setting. The start is pretty fast as you are on the road for over a km running outside the forest. After about 1.8m you face a bit of a drag but its fine then. Here is my garmin file from 2012 http://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/232903071 so you can see the elevation profile. I’d suggest doing this race, let your hair down at the agm and have a nice recovery long run the next day!
WilloParticipantDonadea 10km is on in North Kildare next Saturday. Ive done it as a tune up race the last few years 2 weeks out from the marathon. Its a nice run. 2 5km loops through the forest on even ground. There is tea and sandwiches and cake after the race too. Highly recommended
WilloParticipant[Octoberfest!] scatch that it finished October 5th 😕

Club record gone?!

I don’t believe it. Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-0 and Moody takes the club Ironman record. Black Sunday 😮
WilloParticipantSteven
I’ve a friend who wants to borrow a really really small wetsuit for the weekend. Can he borrow your’s? I believe you won’t be needing it where you are going 😈

WilloParticipantI’m doing a easy run (c. 5 min kms) from Sean Moore Park at 6:30-ish. Planned route is out towards Booterstown, turn right up Booterstown Avenue, turn right down towards UCD, run around parimeter of UCD (trails), back down Nutley Lane past Merrion SC towards the coast road and back to SMP. It should be c. 15km. If anyone wants to join, just let me know and I’ll wait for you before heading off.
