Well done to Will Owens who has set a new club Ironman record by finishing Austria in 9:34

KeymasterNo disrespect to 10hrs and excuse my french but….BOLLOX TO THAT.
Getting to any IM start line is massive and finishing in anytime is an even bigger achievement.
Completely agree with you on this John – I would advise Will to take it nice and handy 😉 😉
Jokes aside – we all know that the lads are accomplished long distance athletes already- so there is no harm in them having bigger goals than the standard person on the start line.
Lets face it – we know they are capable of great things ….. so aim high lads and do yourselves and club proud!

Keymaster@Dan/Paul – thousand apologies for omitting Mr Murphy (although technically still a Belpark reject … so I could be excused!) …
Just gags! Good luck all …. and feel free to post up for any Piranhas going long this weekend that I might have overlooked!

Keymaster@Ger – get well soon pal and mind those “little” nephews … they can be dangerous to us sort that only train to go in a straight line all the time

KeymasterWell done Gramper

Keymaster@Darragh – yes I think that would be unwise – it would be very difficult to manage two full Ironman training cycles without something giving (plus try selling that to your girlfriend!)

KeymasterWill be there

KeymasterHmmmm for me – part of the whole Ironman experience is the trip abroad/pre&post holiday … so would not be overly excited about this… plus as stated before I have my doubts over whether the Irish roads would be great for Iron distance and there is always the increased risk of a swim cancellation with our weather system….
So not for me …. I will however send you lads a post card from the sunny continent!
