PabloParticipant
I plan to attend.
PabloParticipantThe anatomy of your face dictates what goggle fits best.
I’ve used these for the last 3 years (“Kaiman Small Fit – Blue Lens”):

, very happy with them and would thoroughly recommend. Great for training, you can tighten or loosen the straps very easily. Not for racing (in the pool), but I’ve used them in open water events, no problems at all. After all this time, the rubber strap started to crumble.Note that they look very similar to these (“Kaiman – Blue lens”):

, so I bought a replacement pair (in the clear lense version) recently at SwimKit, thinking they were the same model… but they are bigger (bigger lense) and for whatever reason they don’t work for me… no matter how tight or loose is the strapping water gets in, so I stopped using them.I also bought a pair of “Speedo FastSkin3 Elite Goggle Mirror Black/ Smoke” a few weeks back:

, the package comes with 3 different nose bridges so you can choose the one that’s best for you. Water does not get in. They feel a bit too tight (and leave bigger marks after a training session) even with the strap stretched to the max, and are not really designed for open water (I was told the salty water would damage the mirror coating eventually). But they definitely work.PabloParticipantGood stuff Mr. Owen!
I can confirm the pool at NAC is very good indeed… I’ve been swimming there on a weekly basis.
For those finding Westwood pool very warm, this one is at 24.0C, not good for long chats between sets!PabloParticipantGood luck… Looking forward to see how it pans out!
PabloParticipantYou can post here as well!
PabloParticipantSorry I read your question too late.. Well, being within warranty period is the best solution! At the time I tried few tricks found in garmin forum, like wash thoroughly with lukewarm, soapy water and try to clean the two little holes from possible dirt with something like a teeth brush, but it didn’t work for me. After a swim session (or every few of them), it is recommended to wash it like explained above.
PabloParticipantAround 80 Euro is what I paid for a Garmin 910 replacement, once the barometer on the original one stopped working after ~18 months (i.e. out of the 1 year warranty)!
