Great idea Frank, I’d go back to Roth, I did it in 2013 and loved it.
There’s a trade off in my option between an easy-to-get-to event like Switzerland and somewhere like Roth where it’s less easy but the Bavarians were way more excited that the slightly jaded Zurich locals.
However I would love to do Austria. I’m told it’s beautiful even if people might say it’s an “easy” Ironman unlike say Nice, Lanzarote or Norseman.
Does Piranha get any pre-registration slots for Roth 2016 or are we “fingers on the buzzers” like everyone else?
I would really recommend that event, no mass swim start, mostly flat with a few rolling Bavarian hills and an out-and-back run through the woods and along the canal.
Cheaper than IM plus the locals go mad when it’s on. Just hope the weather is not too warm.
I might do the Skoda Cycle Series Wicklow ride tomorrow instead.

I have an apartment booked in Riccione through Hotel Dory for a week and there’s room for more if others were interested in going. Fly to Bologna and drive from there.
Mini-tris are great fun.
Clambering out of the pool while trying to maintain your dignity is a discipline in itself.
I could be up for the long ride if others are going too.
If I put the rack on the car it can take 3 bikes.
Opened again and crashed again. Looks like eventmaster.ie not able to handle the volume.
Evenmaster crashed almost immediately, eventually pulled the registration link and, according to the RoK site, they’ll try again on Thursday morning.

I live right next to the park, so a Wednesday evening 10k loop through the park would be great.

Are we going to see longer rides with the club soon?
I need to be doing over 100k rides and would be happy to lead a group out and over the Wicklow mountains if others were interested?
And if you’re feeling frisky after the time trial and looking for something “slightly” longer there’s always this bruiser.
