All,
A few people interested in this year’s Warm Weather Training have been asking for further detail on the Training Schedules.
The detailed training schedule from 2015 is posted below and will give you a better indication of what will be covered.
Hope this helps.

29th October 2015 at 10:33 am in reply to: Vote for Dublin City Triathlon for race of the year #9812John MartinKeymasterAll,
Really important to get behind this… the survey takes less than a minute and it would be great to recognise and acknowledge that, depsite really awful weather conditions, we still put on a really great race that everyone enjoyed, and tacked on a (logistically challenging) CAT 1 race as well.
I had some difficulty with the link above, so if it’s troublesome, go via:

I’m racing in Cork tomorrow and discovered during the week that we’re not off til 2. I’d hope to be on the road for 4:30 or so, but it’s likely to be 9 before I get in.
Sorry for the inconvenience – I’ll be as quick as I can (on the course and on the road) but thought I should let you know.

25th September 2015 at 2:40 pm in reply to: Official SIGNED Team Sky Jersey Spot Prize..for The John Davis Run #9389John MartinKeymasterMarie (and @Aidan),
This is BRILLIANT!
I’m VERY tempted to “buy more lines” and up my donation!
Thanks so much for this Aidan – Fantastic incentive to donate and get involved in the event, and I’ve no doubt it’s going to have a big impact on contributions.
JM.
John MartinKeymasterBUMP!
Thanks to everyone who has responded so far.
Right Lads and Lassies – We need to get some volunteers for pace setting and a bike lead.
Otherwise, we’ll have to cancel Steve Moody’s IM trip to Barcelona for him to do the 42minute pace-setting again this year…
C’mon Piranhas!!!
John MartinKeymasterHey Pablo!
Best of luck tomorrow – have a good one and take care out there!
JM
John MartinKeymasterAll,
The John Davis Run, the annual club charity event, takes place TOMORROW 3 WEEKS.
https://www.piranhatri.com/piranha-news/john-davis-run-2015-sign-up-asap/
This is an event where members can “give something back” in the form of fundraising for the Irish Cancer Society, and by participating and volunteering at the event – both for the benefit of other Piranha’s partaking, and for other participants of the St. Anne’s Park Run, who have been kind enough to let us hold the event with them.
It’s a good event to race in, and more importantly, to meet other Piranhas, many of whom you may not have met before, in an informal social sports gathering, both at and after the event. It will also be good to join St. Anne’s Parkrun in celebrating THEIR 100th PARKRUN EVENT THE SAME DAY.
At a time when numbers in the club have never been as high, and when there is huge club spirit, both socially and in competition, it is, however, a bit of a shock to see that we currently don’t even have enough people signed up to HOLD the event, not to mention making it a success. Numbers and donations are considerably down on this stage of previous years.
I, for one, have seen first hand how much we all get from the club this year, and many of us have really benefited from the club structure throughout 2015 and this year’s racing season.
This event is an opportunity to give back to the club and, in turn, to help the club contribute something to charity, and I would appeal to all members to take a few hours out on the 3rd October to come along, bring friends, help out, race, socialise with club members (especially some of the oldies who we NEVER see otherwise!!!) and throw something into the MyCharity.ie page kitty while you’re at it…

So c’mon Piranhas – let’s make it a good one!
