Amazing performances all round is right. And some going from the lads to go again at full IM distance so soon after Roth to shed any demons / settle any scores from last time out. Serious respect. Or just sheer madness
It’s a good job we had the live tracker to know how they got on so Moody’s performance wouldn’t go unnoticed. Cos he’s such a quiet, unassuming, modest fella we’d never have known about his feat otherwise…
I have one on a hybrid. As does my wife. Read a view places recommending not putting them on a road bike (probably because of getting to the brakes on the drops, fussier handling and road-holding, etc.) but I’m sure that’s up to you. Structurally I’m sure it’s fine (as long as you’re not talking about a carbon frame!) but I personally wouldn’t take the chance of putting one on a road bike. Better off on a hybrid if you have one.
Thanks everyone! It all just seemed to go right for me on the day. It wasn’t so much of a sprint to the line but more me desperately trying to hang on and get to the line before my watch ticked over the 3 hours. I had no sprint left in me at that stage, just pure stubbornness.
It’s over to you lot now doing Dublin next month. Registration closes on Wednesday, I might see ye there…

It turns out transfers are actually open until Friday so there’s no panic after all. I’ll suss out what we need to do and get back to you tomorrow.

Shite, just noticed today is the last day for transfers so if someone wants it you’d better be quick!
I’m pretty sure that nothing I’ve ordered is going to fit, so it may well all end up for sale / swap here the day after I’ve collected it…
Ugggh, panic over. It looks like they just have last years date (Saturday 15th June 2013) in the race briefing email! Very confusing.
Shiiiiite, why did I have it down that this was on on the 21st?? Did it move at some point or did I just get the date wrong?
Looks like I’ll be getting onto Ann now too…
