Thanks Rachel for all your work on the swimming programme this season. Very useful for us all to keep track of our progress.
If you want to calculate your CSS from the TT you do then a simple calculator can be found here:
http://www.swimsmooth.com/css-calculator.html
Here is a handy google sheet to show a rough guide of what your “zones” might be for your given CSS
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akn04jSBMjNceSXQejokXAmiqcla0qwurauwz3xvFI0/edit?usp=sharing
Bare in mind that if you are doing a TT in a 25m pool and training in a 50m then your CSS will be up to 5% slower in the 50m due to the fact that you have less walls to push off.
Happy training!
AAnthonyMKeymasterBump on this before I put the rest on Adverts/Boards
AnthonyMKeymasterAll your Simon. Will send you a PM
AnthonyMKeymasterHi Ronan,
Would it be possible to move this session to 09:15? Westwood doesn’t open until 9:00 this wednesday and like on Saturdays, we wouldn’t be in the pool on time to start on the hour.
Cheers,
AnthonyAnthonyMKeymasterAnyone else have a slot they’re not using on the 18th?
22nd November 2015 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Nutrition Talk with Barry Murray – Saturday 21st of November *UPDATE* #10020AnthonyMKeymasterThanks to everyone who came to the talk yesterday. A really different concept compared to what you are used to hearing but a worthwhile experience all the same. I’ll have the slides and extra material from Barry asap.
Cheers!

18th November 2015 at 9:21 am in reply to: Nutrition Talk with Barry Murray – Saturday 21st of November *UPDATE* #9979AnthonyMKeymasterHi all,
Delighted to announce that Svein Tuft of World Tour Cycling team Orica-GreenEDGE will be in attendance with Barry on Saturday. Svein is a multiple Canadian national champion in both road race and time trial, a medalist at the World Time Trial Championships in both individual and team time trial, and a TTT stage winner of the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France with Orica-GreenEDGE. Svein is top of his game in terms of nutrition and lives quite a “primal” lifestyle. Here are a few videos which give an insight into what kind of a guy Svein is:
Svein will take a few questions at the end of the talk on Saturday.
Don’t miss it!!!
AnthonyMKeymasterNice one Ronan!
AnthonyMKeymaster@ Johnny
Would defo recommend focusing on swim & bike rather than run this time of year. Less impact. Gives the legs a true chance to heal after a hard season. JOMO!!!
CX is defo the way to go!
AnthonyMKeymasterHi Paul,
These times are permanent. There is no longer a coached run session on Saturday but there will be an unofficial group run at 10:00 for those who wish to run after swimming although I don’t know how many will run if they will have done a long swim already.
Cheers!

8th September 2015 at 6:07 pm in reply to: Pulse Port Beach Triathlon Sept 26th – Transfer Needed #8676AnthonyMKeymasterI also have an entry I won’t be using but Pulse, in their wisdom, closed the date for transfers over 3 weeks out from the race. Clever guys!
AnthonyMKeymasterAlso big well done to Sean Barry who finished IM UK in 10:59:23. A very good time on a tough course!
AnthonyMKeymasterWon’t be Wicklowing it as I was racing yesterday but will prob head out for 90 min recovery spin tomorrow morning if anyone’s interested? Coffee and scone are a must!
