A new unique heath and fitness festival has been organized and being held in Herbert Park on September 19th called WellFest. This is the same day as the Dublin City Marathon race series half marathon in the Phoenix Park but I have been informed that there will be a yoga for athletes class at WellFest in the afternoon which should help relieve any aches and pains for those running the half!
See link below and some further info about the festival. There are a limited number of early bird tickets available for €25.
10 Things you need to know about WellFest
1. WellFest is a new one day outdoor health, fitness and wellbeing festival offering lots of different exercise classes, workshops and seminars on all things nutrition, training and wellness. WellFest is on in Herbert Park on Saturday, 19 September 2015.
2. WellFest will be divided into WellZones. WellStage is the main stage and we will have top trainers teaching classes to hundreds of people throughout the day. The classes include the Viking Method by icelandic hit Svava Sigbertsdottir (who trains Nicole Scherzinger and Suki Waterhouse), Body Attack and HIIT from top Les Mills master trainers, to name just a few. WellBeing will house our Yoga, Pilates and Ballet Barre area. WellTalk is where you will find top names discussing nutrition, mindfulness, training for triathlons, marathons and lots more. WellHungry will have local restaurants and juice bars offering up delicious food and drinks to nourish our attendees (WellFesters…if you will!).
3. A ticket to WellFest includes access to the venue and participation in as many classes and seminars as you like (subject only to maximum class capacity).
4. WellFest will also be hosting some specific workshops for smaller groups where WellFesters can take the opportunity to hone in on specific topics/techniques with our unreal trainers. Workshops will be available to book in advance. More on this soon.
5. WellFest will be running all day from 10am to 6pm. WellFesters are free to come along at whatever times suits and participate in the activities. The timetable will be released in advance so you can tailor your day to your desire.
6. We would advise all WellFesters to make use of public transport as parking is limited and restricted close to the venue. The Lansdowne Road and Sandymount Dart stations are very close by and the area is served by a number of buses including the 46a, 145, 7 or the 39a. It is also easily accessible by foot and by bike.
7. WellFest welcomes beginners and experienced fitness fanatics. There will be a selection of exciting classes for all levels.
8. WellFest is for over 18s and is a great opportunity to mingle among like minded fitness enthusiasts while enjoying the festival vibes.
9. WellFest is an alcohol free event allowing WellFesters to rejuvenate the mind and body after a summer of fun.
10. Early bird tickets are on sale now at only €25 (plus booking fee). Grab them before they are gone…(“because when they’re gone, they’re gone”!!!)
