The Club committee would like to acknowledge some of the brilliant volunteer work by our members..
The Piranha Memorial Run is hosted every November at ParkRun in St. Anne’s Park. The run is organised by the club to honour members who have passed away and to raise much needed funds for specially chosen charities. It’s a great Piranha day out for members, family and friends (see link to post about the club members whom we honour on the day – https://www.piranhatri.com/about-us/memorial-run/). The Memorial Run is one of two days members are asked to give back to the club, the other being DCT. This is a great club social occasion as there is a prize giving as well as tea, coffee and scones organised at the red stables after the race. This year’s event organising committee were Collie O’Neill, Lauren Hughes and Ignacio Bustos. Ken Hughes and Luis Hernandez were on hand to capture the magic of the morning on camera. Our Club is entirely volunteer-led and could not continue without members helping with the day to day activities and big events like this.
As a token of the Club’s appreciation for all the work done on the Piranha Memorial Run, Collie, Ignacio, Lauren, Ken and Luis will each receive a voucher! Thank you to each of you!!
Thanks again to all our club members who help out every year! If anyone wants to get more involved in Club volunteering, please get in touch!
Happy Christmas and wishing you all a good break!
