It is the awards season, and it’s no different here in Piranha TC.
And the winner of the Volunteer of the Month Award for January is…. Daireen Gill!
Daireen is an excellent example of someone who uses her professional knowledge and applies it in a way that benefits everyone in the club. When a volunteer was sought before Christmas for a thankless job, she was the first to apply! Daireen, unbeknownst to the majority of members, maintains the database of all the coaches and assistant coaches in the club, updating their qualifications and reminding them of when they need to act to remain current.
She has also assisted a number of committee members with numerous admin tasks. As with all previous Volunteer Of The Month recipients, all of this was done quietly, without ever asking for a word of thanks.
On behalf of the Committee and I’m sure all club members, thanks Daireen for your efforts in making Piranha the club it is!
