The committee would like to acknowledge some of the fine work our members have been doing on behalf of the club, as such we are celebrating our volunteer of the month for February.
International Women’s day came along on 8th March this year and this coincides with Women in Sport week. The Piranha social media pages were buzzing with inspirational posts from a wide variety of wonderful women associated with our club and sport. The week long celebration turned the spotlight on amazing coaches, members, officials and volunteers who help make this club a great place to be and also showcased the benefits of our sport.
This initiative was spearheaded by our women’s lead – Joanne Kennedy. Her dedication and passion for this role are self evident in all the work she put into producing so many inspiring stories which demonstrate the best of what our club is. Thanks Joanne for all you do, we’re lucky to have you! Joanne will receive a One4All voucher as a token of our appreciation for organising this initiative.
Our club is entirely volunteer dependant and could not continue without members helping with the day to day activities. Thank you again to all our club members who help out!
