Dear Piranhas!
Half-way through the 2017 triathlon season and it’s already been a very successful one for the club, with record levels of participation from our members in National Series races all over the country as well as lots of impressive individual performances. This a testament to our members in general but we would like to recognise two people in particular who have put in a huge amount of work to make this happen. Our very deserving Volunteers of the Month for July are National Series Co-ordinators Siobhan Forman and Richard Doyle!
Siobhan and Richie developed a National Series Strategy earlier this year (available at https://www.piranhatri.com/members-area/national-series/), identifying 6 races that the club would target. They have drawn on their extensive experience to write comprehensive handbooks for each race and made accommodation and dinner/drinks arrangements for the away weekends in Westport and Cobh. All this has contributed hugely to the positive experience Piranhas have had at these races. As a small token of our appreciation we will be sending Siobhan and Richie vouchers for Cyclesuperstore.com.
