Casso, I have to say that’s a terrible route full of busy roads and traffic lights from swords onwards or is that the intention ?

Would they not be better going towards Naul instead ???

Unfortunately John we have very few options that do not have traffic lights or traffic, roads won’t be busy between 9-11 on a Sunday morning there is a bike lane from Clontarf to Howth, also a bike lane from Howth to Sutton, there is a good surface from baldoyle to malahide. And on the way back there is a hard/shoulder from swords to airside and a bikelane/little used bus lane to santry. Then back the malahide road there is also a bike lane. If your heading to the naul you are taking in most of the above roads you are saying are terrible, plus there are tractors and trucks using the R108 and having a new group of cyclists is probably a bit more dangerous on a country road would you not think ! Especially since they are new to group riding having a route with cycle lanes would probably be a bit more sensible/safer in my opinion. Thanks for your input though John
