Marathon Training starts this week. Do not worry if you are still finishing your triathlon season, but please try and give yourself 8-10 weeks to prepare properly the marathon.
Marathon Training 4 day schedule, if you can do a 5th day of running (bonus day) just do an easy 30 mins
Tuesday
5/6 by 1500m with 90sec rec @ half marathon pace
Thursday
a mix of speed and endurance training by Gary
Long run
90mins easy. IF this is way above what you have normally been doing please just run an easy hour.
Day 4
40mins easy
Day 5/ Bonus day 30mins
Run training for everyone else
Tuesday
3 by 1500m hard, 5km effort, 2.30 min rec. After a few feel good strides
