Hi all –
Tri Ireland just announced that they are extending the suspension of all activities until the end of April, stating:
“Triathlon Ireland Affiliated Clubs’ training and events will remain suspended until after Thursday, 30 April. We recognise that it is unusual for clubmates to train separately for an extended period of time like this, and are proud of the triathlon community for supporting each other through these times of uncertainty. Triathlon Ireland are confident that the decision to suspend training is in the best interest of the community at this time”. For more click —> here.
This means that all Piranha training sessions will remain suspended until 30 April and that the Easter training camp in Waterford will not go ahead as planned either. Further details on the training camp will be issued to those who have signed up in the coming days.
These are unprecedented times and we all need to play our part in this national emergency. It doesn’t mean we need to stop training, it just means we cant do it as a group. Maintaining an exercise regime is more important now than ever, for both our mental and physical health – so stay active and stay in touch through phone and video chat. If you have any tips for indoor workouts please share them with your fellow members.
Stay safe and stay healthy
