Hi folks,
October is the ideal month for members to take things down a notch and recover after a tough season. Those doing IM Barca, keep going you’re nearly there, those doing the Dublin Marathon, well November will also be a good time to take a step back!
With that in mind, the last mid week spin will be Wed 28th September to Howth. Mid week training will start up again in Nov, the exact format and location will be advertised in late Oct.
The next Piranha Sunday Spin will be in November, exact date tbc. Members are encouraged to group together though and organise some easy spins via the forum or whatsapp group.
Be confident enough to take a break once you’ve finished racing, without doing so you are not giving yourself the best shot at a strong 2017 season. I would recommend doing nothing completely for 1-2 weeks, then reintroduce yourself to unstructured training, change up your regular routine, focus on S&C, easy aerobic based sessions and try something new such as cyclocross or x-country running.
