Ironman 70.3 Dublin —UPDATE !

Just to let everyone know, IRONMAN UK LTD and dispensed with my services for the 2016 race and I will not be involved in any official way.
The Uk office have taken on a new race in Weymouth and also full time Race Directors and due to budget restrictions they feel they cannot afford a local Race Director.
I am extremely disappointed with this decision but I wish them all the best for the 2016 race. They are fully behind putting on the 2016 race and assuming a couple of adjustments are signed off by OPW & DCC I would expect to see it open by the end of January.
If I get any further updates I will let Piranha members know

Sorry to hear that John. You brought considerable experience to the table in addition to a huge network that came with a lots of goodwill.

It is always better to have local people in my opinion – especially for an event that is so dependent on local volunteers.

Big corporations, profits first! doesn’t make the world a better place!
