Congratulations to all Piranhas who competed in Dunmore East last Saturday. It was great to see everyone out on the course and as the unofficial photographer, supporter and mascot I can say that the level of commitment shown by the guys and gals coming in further down the pecking order was just as high as those coming in at the top. As she passed me at some speed, Louise Bennett was hunting down a Belpark runner just a few metres in front of her with steely determination. Very proud to be wearing my Piranha shirt – the Belpark supporters seemed to have forgotten theirs, although there was a bit of friendly banter going on once they blew their cover.
I have uploaded the photos I took onto Google Drive with this link: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1CfZe6LecgVNzlLWmlVcDNYU3M&usp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
I hope it works, I’ve never tried this before. There was a very large (30-40cm across) jelly fish hanging around the slipway to the beach on Sunday looking for some friends to play with. Funnily enough, the sea was empty! 😮
Well done James and Vivienne – worthy winners and pushed hard by those just behind them. Congratulations to Bernard, too,for a great event.

We are required as a club to provide TOs for certain races as part of our membership of TI. A few Piranhas have taken on this role and it is MUCH appreciated and often undervalued. So its a good opportunity to thank them all for being unsung heroes at races up and down the country during the season. If you’ve never thought of doing it, perhaps consider it for next year: not only do you become an expert on the TI Rules, you get a whistle and a set of red and yellow cards which can be used at family gatherings to great effect. We’ll be looking for volunteers at the beginning of next season.
Thanks all Piranha TOs – you do great work.
Phil.

Marco, there is one of you taking in the sights as you make you way to transition from the swim – what is that about?? 😆
Phil, great to have you there to support us all! Thanks to Paul too – I think we need a few more TOs from the club.
