Myself, Marie Moran and possibly one or two more are planning to cycle from Nantes to Bilbao, or at least some of the way, along Eurovelo 1 in September.

Accommodation will be a mix of camping (you’ll need a bike that will take such baggage) and B&B accommodation.
Ryanair fly to Nantes on September 19, you can put your bike in a cardboard box, then get another one with which to fly home. Distance per day on the link above.
