Both the cycle and run routes look great, a day like today on the Wild Atlantic Way would be savage. Anyone who pre-registers on http://www.challenge-galway.eu is guaranteed entry when it opens on 21/06/15.

Hmmmm for me – part of the whole Ironman experience is the trip abroad/pre&post holiday … so would not be overly excited about this… plus as stated before I have my doubts over whether the Irish roads would be great for Iron distance and there is always the increased risk of a swim cancellation with our weather system….

So not for me …. I will however send you lads a post card from the sunny continent!
