All,
Fantastic that there’s good momentum building for the John Davis Run 2015, taking place on the 3rd October in St. Anne’s Park.
Thanks so much to those of you who have signed up and donated – to those who haven’t… C’Mon Piranhas!!!
The Parkrun organisers have asked for as many Piranha volunteers as possible to help out on the day. There are loads of jobs that need to be done, and in return for joining Parkrun for the event, we’ve offered to help out as much as we can. Roles include:
– Bike lead[s]
– Pace-setters (Anything from 19 to 30minutes)
– Marshalls
– Help setting up / marking out the course
– Finish line barcode scanners
Please let me know (either on the forum or at John.Martin[at]outlook.ie) if there are any roles you’d specifically like to do and we’ll assign volunteer jobs accordingly (insofar as possible). In particular, anyone who’d be willing to act as pace-setters: Come forward!
Special thanks to the following people, who have offered to not run, but volunteer, on the day: Miklos Berencsi; Siobhan Foreman; Michael Grimes; John Lyons; Anthony Mulholland; Brianne Mulvihill; Megan Smith; Andi Szilagyi. Note also that volunteers, even those not running, should register with Parkrun and bring your barcode on the day. See http://www.parkrun.ie/register/ for details.
Thanks all – looking forward to a great morning on the 3rd Oct.
JM.
