Bikes Stolen

    Hello Peeps:

    Last evening two bikes were stolen from the bike rack on the back of my car, from an underground “secure” garage where I work. Yes i had locks on them, and steel cables also but they cut them all with bolt cutters. One was my wife’s bike, Merida Juliette ride 77, just fully services with new chain and bearings.. etc and the other was my Giant Defy that i use for training while in Dublin the specification of both are below as handed to the garda on duty last evening, fortunately they are on CCTV. Our two bikes stolen were two of 4 bikes stolen from the same location over a 2 hour period.

    Light bracket holder on front handlebars and rear seat post.

    Gears: 27 speed
    Chainset: light and stiff omega Mega Exo FSA crankset
    Frame: Aluminium, carbon Forks
    wheel – tyre : 700 x 23C
    Chainset: Shimano Sora
    Shifters: Sora
    Tyres : Lugano Black Yellow
    Pedals: -upgraded to Shimano SPD-SL (for clip in cleats) – white in colour
    Giant Connect bar, stem and seatpost
    Wheel: Fulcrum racing 7’s

    Extras:
    pedals as described above above
    Garmin quarter turn holder (for garmin watch / meter)
    Garmin GT10 speed/ cadence meter (rear of bike)
    tool bag clipped to back of bike seat – including 2x Co2 canisters and activation head, spare tube, tyre levers, multi tool
    Small black food pouch velcro attached to cross bar, within 2x co2 canisters and activation head.

    what a pain in the ar$e… hope you have some joy and get them back. setup email alerts on those websites and you’ll be notified as soon as anything is posted.

    I have a bike for Sunday so that’s good, just need to replace Mary’s Bike as she has a an adventure race coming up shortly… and will need to train,
