I would highly recommend this race which was well organised and on a 2 lap bike course through the docklands and 4 lap run course through the city center. Good buzz about it and also home done and dusted by 2pm !
Would defo do it again next year if its NS race, even better if it was on a Saturday

Well done all. I had to bow out due to a dodgy ankle. I’m glad it lived up to its promise!

and thus Caesar John turned his thumb down to the massed arena and indicated all below him should be fed to the Lions….

The Wallnutt Empire was a terrible cruel dictatorship with no mercy ever demonstrated…

Congrats – great results all round, especially the Emperor! 😮

“Who is it in the press that calls on me? I hear a tongue, shriller than all the music, cry ‘Caesar!'” 😀

“the rule of Caesar, although during its establishment it gave no little trouble to its opponents, still, after they had been overpowered and had accepted it, they saw that it was a tyranny only in name and appearance, and no cruel or tyrannical act was authorized by it; nay, it was plain that the ills of the state required a monarchy, and that Caesar, like a most gentle physician, had been assigned to them by Heaven itself. Therefore the Roman people felt at once a yearning for Caesar, and in consequence became harsh and implacable towards his murders… ” 😆 😆 😆

When their enemies were at the gates, the Romans would suspend democracy and appoint one man to protect the city. It wasn’t considered an honor, it was considered a public service.

The last man who they appointed to protect the Republic was named Caesar and he never gave up his power.

Okay, fine. you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
