After the 24 hour stint and excitement of what was IM Dublin a few of us have decided to book a long weekend to Barcelona to support the Piranha’s and others we know heading over to do the Full IM on the 4th of October in Calella.
Currently myself, Rachel, Judy and Belinda have booked flights & accommodation, with a few others thinking about it. There may be the possibility of some places to share if folk want to use this post to see who may be interested. There are still some central cheap options available on booking.com, even some camping options if you want to pitch a tent with Paul.
We booked last week and flying out on Friday the 2nd of October with Aer Lingus 18.45PM, returning on Tuesday the 6th with Ryanair 21.30PM. All in with accommodation you are looking at 250PP for the 4 nights (4 full days). We’re staying in Aparthotel Safari and there were at the time of booking some places still available.
Calella, is a seaside town 50km or so from Barcelona and while we will have no interest in the tapas, cheap beer/wine, beaches and sun and our sole objective for the weekend is to be completely at their beck and call, I’ll say this now I am the only person who will be giving the deep tissue massages to chicken legs….
We said we’ post up to see if anybody else wants to think about a long weekend away to soak up the Full IM – great for folk thinking about it for next year. The more the merrier.
