Another DCT has come and gone successfully, this time with the new challenge of rutting stags! Thankfully, the unsuspecting DCT competitor was well looked after by the medical team on site and it was only a positive message that went viral.
That is thanks to the consistent work of Caroline Curran who year on year has built well organized medical cover for the event, be it for kids falling off railings, or the victims of threatened alpha-stags.
It was volunteering at my first DCT in 2014 that I met Caroline and had the best fun in the team she put together, we went home hoarse and buzzing. She’s a fantastic Piranha (and an even better swimmer!), always cheering on the club whenever she is at an event, and looking for ways to improve the medical team for DCT.
It is with great pleasure that I get to announce Caroline as Volunteer of the Month – August 2016, congratulations Caroline!
