After due consideration and taking a number of factors into account the NS committee have decided that the 2 overnight away events for 2018 will be
Hook or by Crook Sprint 16th June and Jailbreak Cobh Olympic 21st July
Jailbreak is currently open of entry and Hook will open this Friday 15th. We have arranged a discount of €5 (off the already low entry fee of €45 to €40) with Waterford Tri for hook and we will forward that code to all members before the event opens for entry. We are currently booking a number of holiday homes in Dunmore East and Cobh. These will be limited and on a first pay to secure basis. Cost will be very reasonable.
We are also looking for any members who are interested in competing in the Team Relay Champs on 26th May in Lough Cutra (lets leave to comments about Cutra behind us and hope they do a better job and get better weather next year) The Team Relay is 3pm Saturday so you can travel on the day. The Olympic NS race is 9am Sunday so it would be worthwhile staying over and doing that the next morning. Team relay is 250m Swim / 5 km bike / 1500m run and a lot of fun. 15mins to do that so a nice warm up for the Olympic the following day so put it in your schedule and get an early Olympic under your belt. The Club will supply the team entry and also help with the cost of the Olympic entry if you are selected on the Team.
We will announce the full list of races later this week as well as the Club Championship race. We would suggest entering Cobh as soon as possible if you intend to race, I am sure anyone who was there this year will tell you it was a great weekend.
