How do I join?
So you wish to join one of the best Triathlon Clubs in Ireland !?
To join Piranha please follow the following steps:-
1. Membership Form
First you need to download, complete and return the membership form:

2. Triathlon Ireland Membership
All members must be a member of Triathlon Ireland (T.I.) the cost if €55 per year. If you are not a member of TI you will not be permitted to attend any Piranha Training sessions, this is to ensure that you are insured to train and race.
To join TI please go to the Triathlon Ireland Website and select Piranha as your club of choice.
3. Payment
The cost of becoming a member is €250.00 per year for full membership or €23.00 per month . This covers all training, Run, Cycle and swimming session (no additional pool entry charges)
To pay please choose one of the following:-
A) Go to the TRIATHLON IRELAND website. You will need to first renew or take out (if you’re new to triathlon) TI membership and you will then be given the option to join Piranha Triathlon club. You will be able to pay your Annual full / student or Associate membership (€250, €120, €30).
B) Go to the TRIATHLON IRELAND website. You will need to first renew or take out (if you’re new to triathlon) TI membership. Then download, complete and retun (scan) the monthly standing order form below (€23 a month).

To encourage as many as possible to pay upfront we have set the annual rate is €250 if you pay on line or €23 per month ( € 276 pa) if it is set up by standing order. The Student membership is €120 and Associate membership is €30. (TI membership is compulsory to ensure that you are insured to train and race.)

4. Attend a training session
Once you have ticked off 1-3 as above you are all set to attend any training session, please come along and introduce yourself at the start of any session and begin your Triathlon Career !

Where is Piranha located?
The majority of the club’s training is based out of Clontarf in Dublin, our swimming takes place in Westwood Clontarf & UCD. Training locations vary depending on each session. E.g. Tuesday running takes place in UCD. Check out our club training section for updated locations of training.
Do I need to join Triathlon Ireland?
Membership of Triathlon Ireland is mandatory for Piranha Members for all types of memberships. TI membership means you can participate in TI races without having to pay day license fees. TI Members are covered for Public Liability Insurance for all TI sanctioned races and organized Club Training Sessions. This insures members in the event of a claim by a third party. Details on joining TI can be found on www.triathlonireland.com.
Why Triathlon?
Why not? It might feel like hell doing it, but finishing is great!
What do I get in return for joining?
You get first preference and a discount on the training clinics run by the club during the year, the training week abroad and club racing gear.
You will also be able and insured to attend club swimming sessions in Westwood Clontarf. These are coached sessions in the 50m pool and cater for all abilities.
We have coached running sessions with a professional coach.

When is the season starting?
The first duathlons (cycling and running) start in February. The triathlon season usually starts around May and finishes in late September. In saying this club members will be training all year round. The training section has further info. Triathlon Ireland publishes a full list of all TI sanctioned races on their website www.triathlonireland.com.
What does it cost?
There are four subscription methods
Full membership Direct Debit (€23 per month direct debit covers all training sessions)
Full membership Upfront (€250 – all training sessions for the year)
Student Membership (€120 – reduced rate full membership)
Affiliate Membership (€30 – no training sessions included)
We encourage people to either pay upfront (cash/cheque) or by direct debit as it makes collection of the fees much easier and helps us plan the sessions better. Subscriptions can be paid to the club membership’s officer memberships@piranhatri.com. (Cheques made payable to Piranha Triathlon Club).
